I was working happily on with my many project when icemunmun suddenly released the Canningstation she’s been talking about. What horrible timing! Now I’m going to end up with yet another unfinished project. It should give me a chance to finally upload the italian farm I was working on, considering I need the plants.
A good thing though is that I won’t have any problems finding subjects for the coming week, but it might change after that. I start a hole new education the week after next in 3D graphics at Westerdals. Hopefully it’s going to suit me more than the technical drawing did.
On to this new lot. I was kind of fed up with traditional, I wanted something “modern”. I don’t see white walls with a farm though. Too much dirt all around. I ended up on some of the local old brick buildings as inspiration. This was a factory, now it’s a fusion Industrial/Modern. I suddenly found some inspiration as well, so hopefully it’s going to work out.
I downloaded a bunch of Pralinesim’s walls and floors to go with Buffsumm’s Industrial doors and windows. I’m planning an open plan building and a garage for the cars. There will also be a more private garden with a pool, but it turned out to be on the shadow side of the house?
This is the pool side of the house, and it’s a bit of a bore. I gave different parts of the house different wall patterns, but of course this part is all one building.
The wooden building on the right side is the wet room where they can clean up after a long day in the fields.
On the left side again is the wet room, and on the right is the garage. I put the canningstation in the garage together with a big kitchen for that kind of thing. Later I add a wet room there as well, together with a towerlike building and a carpark for the car when it’s loaded. The kitchen can’t really have the car inside like now because of the canning kitchen thingi. I’ll see how much space I end up having later on, the lot is 64x64. There is a limit to how much room a farm can use.
I have built the house with 3 floors and a ton of bedrooms, with some bathrooms all around.
This is where the kitchen for the canning is at the moment. The house also has a familykitchen in the main building, with a couple of great livingrooms, with fireplaces etc.
The canningstation … station, is on the right side with the green backsplash.
I was working on the room and wasn’t perfectly happy, so I ended up putting that green GTW shelfs in there. They belong to the canningstation though, for putting canningstuff on … naturally.
I think I have to make a shop though, if I want to sell the result from the canning in a shop, and not just drag it to the proper icon in my sims inventory. I think making a fitting store might be nice. I’ll have to see.
Can you see a plan develop here? With the Elegant Bedroom from ShinoKCR, this should be a fun fusion to play with later on. I remember a specific house in ts3 I made with a brick Old, Industrial and fluffy velvet fusion. It ended up quite lovely. This being ts4, I don’t really have the same kind of control with all the colors as I did in ts3, I will just have to make it work with what I have.
